Definition
- There is a great deal of interest in community corrections as a means of dealing with the problems of the abuse of illegal substances, pharmaceuticals, and alcohol. Much has been made of their link to crime, and there continues to be some debate about the propriety of treatment versus punishment, especially for drug offenders.
