Definition
- Sue Grafton (1940-), author of the popular Kinsey Millhone detective novels, has been a pioneer in the tough female private investigator (PI) genre. With others such as Marcia Muller and Sara Paretsky, Grafton was one of the first female authors to write about a “hard-boiled” female private eye.
