history of medicine
Definition
- Medicine is as old as civilization itself; humankind has always made attempts to heal, cure, and prolong life. Even in the nascent phases of our development, our hominid ancestors recognized disease and sickness, and they made attempts to combat this with what was available at that time, mostly herbs and rituals.
