Definition
- Approximately every five years, the U.S. Congress reauthorizes the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) to carry out its duties as the primary agency of federal drug control policy. ONDCP was first authorized by the Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1988 and has been reauthorized many times since.
