Definición
- Series of agreements formulated at several international conventions held in Geneva, Switzerland, which established rules for the treatment of prisoners of war, the sick, and the wounded, and for the overall conduct of war between warring states. The notion of regulating war has been around as long as wars have been recorded. [Source: Encyclopedia of United States National Security; Geneva Conventions]
