- Community involvement encompasses the many ways individuals from the same place (e.g., from a specific town or neighborhood) or with similar interests (e.g., a professional association or individuals pursuing a given hobby) interact with one another within a common context. The interactions include, but are not limited to, volunteerism, community organizing, social action, citizenship behaviors, and neighboring.
