Definición
- In an effort to reduce street crime and improve quality of life in certain geographic locations, place-based crime prevention efforts have emphasized environmental modification as a way to control human behavior. Formally known as crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED), these efforts focus on changing the environment to influence the behavior of criminal offenders and those able to intervene in criminal offenses (e.g., bystanders).
