Definición
- Safer sex refers to a culturally defined approach promoted by public health and state health organizations for reducing the risk of exposure to bodily fluids (semen, vaginal secretions, blood, and saliva) exchanged during sexual activity. The term safer sex emerged in response to objections raised by a variety of public health organizations to the term safe sex. [Source: Encyclopedia of Gender and Society; Safer Sex]
