presidential election of 1964

Definición

  • THE 1964 PRESIDENTIAL election was won by one of the largest margins in American history, the result of a number of factors that highlighted the unique political climate of the time. Though incumbent Democrat Lyndon Johnson faced little difficulty, his opposition was and remains significant to the course of American politics; though liberalism prevailed, the election was a watershed for American conservatism.
