  • Zero-tolerance policing is most commonly referred to as a policing strategy in which police resources are used to aggressively enforce criminal (and in some situations civil) laws. Zero-tolerance policing goes by a variety of different labels including, but not limited to, quality-of-life policing, incivilities policing, broken-windows policing, and order-maintenance policing.
