  • A contingency contract, or ‘behavioral’ contract, is a clearly written document specifying available rewards or consequences that are contingent upon the performance of a certain behavior. The use of a contingency contract is a behavioral management technique that is effective in modifying a multitude of behaviors performed in a variety of settings.
