East Asian Acculturation Measure

Definición

  • The East Asian Acculturation Measure (EAAM) is a 29-item self-report instrument designed to measure the social interaction and communication styles (both competency and ease and comfort in communicating) of East Asian (i.e., Chinese, Japanese, and Korean) immigrants in the United States. Models of Acculturation Researchers typically conceptualize the acculturation of Asian ethnic groups as a unidimensional construct that ranges from low acculturation, indicating a primary Asian identification, to high acculturation, indicating a Western identification, with an imputed midpoint representing a bicultural identification.
