self-employment

Definición

  • Individuals who work for fees or profits in their own professions, trades, businesses, or farms can be said to be self-employed. Prior to the Industrial Revolution, the vast majority of those who supplied labor for a fee were self-employed, but today the extent of self-employment is much lower.
