Definición
- Although numerous cases deal with the Fourth Amendment rights of juveniles, almost all of them involve school settings. For instance, in New Jersey v. T.L.O. (1985), the U.S. Supreme Court provided that public school officials could conduct searches in schools (in this case the search of a purse that produced drug-related evidence) based on reasonable suspicion rather than on probable cause.
