Definición
- Using the human body's own mechanisms to repair damaged tissues and organs is known as regenerative medicine. Largely still theoretical midway through the first decade of the twenty-first century, researchers involved in the field anticipate using information derived from the mapping of the human genome, manipulating both adult and embryonic stem cells, and using existing genes and proteins to repair and ultimately replace nonworking parts.
