Definición

  • “If particular care and attention is not paid to the ladies, we are determined to foment a rebellion and will not hold ourselves bound by any laws in which we have no voice, or representation,” wrote Abigail Adams (1744–1818) to her husband, John (1735–1826), when he was attending the Second Continental Congress in 1776. Her admonition went unheeded, however, and women today still lack equal representation in most local, state, or national governments.
