  • The World Health Organization's (WHO) International Classification of Diseases (ICD) is the international standard diagnostic classification for all general epidemiology, health management, and clinical purposes, including the analysis of general health situations of population groups. It is also used to classify diseases and other health problems recorded on many types of health and vital records, including death certificates and health records.
