Definición
- In the United States, more than 17,000 people died in alcohol-related motor vehicle crashes during 2003; this figure represented 40% of all traffic-related deaths. One approach to reducing instances of impaired driving is to promote the use of a designated driver, defined as an individual who agrees to remain sober, for example during a party, and thus is able to drive others home safely.
