Definición
- The importance of physical activity has been well documented in the scientific literature. For example, in 1996, the Office of the Surgeon General's report stated that there is an expansive and strong body of scientific evidence that demonstrates that regular physical activity can prevent or control a number of chronic diseases and conditions, including cardiovascular disease, stroke, Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, obesity, osteoporosis, and certain types of cancer.
