cross-sectional survey

Definición

  • Definition Any collection of data from a sample of individuals (or groups) at a particular point in time as a basis for inferring the characteristics of the population from which the sample comes. A cross-sectional survey of a population can be one-off or repeated at regular intervals thereby providing a means of ‘monitoring’ changes in the population in response to societal and policy change.
