  • Hegelians, or members of the Hegelian School, are students or adherents of the philosopher Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770–1831), who lectured at the University of Berlin from 1818 until his death. The Hegelian School represents the development and critique of Hegel's project of asking how free and rational action is possible within the framework of contemporary social institutions.
