- The Problem Oriented Screening Instrument for Teenagers (POSIT) is a self-report screening tool that was developed as part of the Adolescent Assessment/Referral System (AARS) to identify potential problems among adolescent substance users. Elizabeth Rahdert of the National Institute on Drug Abuse designed the AARS as an early intervention system for troubled adolescents.
