high reliability organization theory

Definición

  • High reliability theory's (HRT) central assumption is that organizations existing within complex social, political, and technical environments can perform at highly reliable levels. In the 1980s, scholars disputed the idea that high risk organizations (HROs)—those in the nuclear, electricity, health care, and transport industries—were fertile grounds for disaster.
