- Twelve-Step Facilitation (TSF) is an evidence-based, manual-guided, 12-session outpatient treatment program for substance use disorders. TSF had its origins in Project MATCH, a national collaborative study of treatment for alcohol abuse and alcoholism funded by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.
