championing corporate ventures

Definición

  • While some new ventures will constitute new small businesses, perhaps with only one employee, other ventures originate in a corporate environment, where there is already an established business plan and accepted set of procedures and expectations. There are various reasons that the new venture may originate in, and be best suited for, this environment: It may be a natural extension of the firm's activities into a new area (even if it does not immediately appear to be so), it may capitalize on the firm's existing resources, or it may simply originate as work product by an employee.
