laws and liberties of massachusetts

Definición

  • The Laws and Liberties of Massachusetts were adopted in 1648 to replace the provisional Bodie of Liberties of 1641. The Laws and Liberties did incorporate several clauses from the Bodie of Liberties but represented the first systematic attempt to construct a complete system of governance and law by an English colony in a single code.
