Definición
- Trade associations are formal organizations constituted by members of a specific industry, such as chemical manufacturers—for example, the American Chemistry Council or the American Petroleum Institute, formed in 1919 under the guidance of Ivy Lee and others. Today, there are thousands of such associations expected to serve the public interest. [Source: Encyclopedia of Public Relations; Trade Associations]
