Alexander Hamilton

Definición

  • Alexander Hamilton (1755–1804) is immortalized as a founding father of the United States for several reasons: leadership during the Revolutionary War, advocacy of a centralized government structure on a national scale, and service as the first secretary of the treasury. Hamilton's eminence was preceded by a wretched childhood and followed by violent death. [Source: The Social History of Crime and Punishment in America: An Encylopedia; Hamilton, Alexander]
