- Corporate crime, which is often denoted economic or organizational crime, is distinguishable from occupational crime in that the primary objective of the illicit activity is to benefit the socioeconomic-legal collective known as the corporation, though the corporate actors may also benefit individually (e.g., financial performance bonus, commissions).
