situational leadership

Definición

  • Situational leadership has its roots in the Ohio State Leadership Studies that were based on surveys of leaders and subordinates that focused on two elements of leadership: (1) consideration or relationship behavior of leaders toward their subordinates, and (2) initiating structure or task behavior of leaders and how their roles are defined and structured. Situational leadership suggests that leaders demonstrate flexibility in determining and using an appropriate leadership style to fit their followers' needs and their work situations.
