Définition
- Laws that criminalize an action that was legal when it was originally committed. An ex post facto law makes illegal an act that has already taken place, or it makes the punishment greater than it was at the time of the act. [Source: Student's Guide to the Supreme Court; Ex Post Facto Laws]
