Définition
- In his 1987 book Gringo Justice, Chicano sociologist, lawyer, and activist Alfredo Mirandé provided an alternative to mainstream explanations of Chicano criminality and its social control. His book, one of the most widely recognized works in the field of criminology and criminal justice, offers a sociohistorical explanation of the seemingly disparate treatment of Mexican-origin Latinos within the U.S. criminal justice system.
