Définition
- A bad check, also known as a bounced check or a nonsufficient funds (NSF) check, is a check drawn on a nonexistent account or on an account with insufficient funds to honor the check when presented. There is a presumption by the acceptors of checks that an account is open and that there are sufficient funds available to cover the checks.
