child protective services

Définition

  • Child Protective Services (CPS) is a governmental agency under the jurisdiction of the Juvenile Court that is responsible for investigating allegations of abuse and/or neglect for children under 18 years old. This entry provides a brief history, governing laws, the investigative process, and the goals of CPS.
