Définition
- The concept of the exception is often used to elaborate a critique of liberalism, especially of the liberal rule of law. It is probably most readily associated with the work of Carl Schmitt, who was probably the most influential German jurist of the interwar period and whose work is now enjoying some resurgence in popularity.
