- During the last couple of decades, research and scholarship by Michael Omi and Howard Winant, Lawrence Bobo, Mica Pollock, Gloria Ladson-Billings, Daniel Solorzano, Zeus Leonardo, and others indicate that institutional racism is pervasive in U.S. society, including schools.
