organizational compliance programs

Définition

  • Organizational compliance programs are internal structural and procedural mechanisms within organizations to promote lawful behavior by avoiding criminal conduct and other legal wrongs, including regulatory violations, torts, and breaches of contract. They are based on the “good corporate citizen” model that traces back to John Braithwaite's work in the late 1980s that suggested enforced self-regulation as an alternative to inefficient and expensive adversarial enforcement by governmental agencies.
