Wilhelm Roentgen

- Born on March 27, 1845, at Lennep in the Lower Rhine Province of Germany, Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen is best known for discovering the types of rays now called X-rays. His discovery revolutionized medical practices because doctors could now view the inside of a patient's body without employing unnecessarily invasive procedures.
