- Founded in 1954 as a not-for-profit organization, the American Society on Aging (ASA) is committed to improving the health and quality of life for older Americans and their families by providing physical, emotional, social, economic, and spiritual support. The 6,000 members of ASA encompass a wide range of disciplines, including physicians, educators, administrators, decision makers, the business community, researchers, and students.
