Matilda Joslyn Gage
Définition
- Matilda Joslyn Gage was born in Cicero, New York, on March 24, 1826, to Hezekiah and Helen Leslie Joslyn. Gage is sometimes known as the forgotten feminist because she was very involved with the antebellum women's movement and is often lost under the larger images of her contemporaries such as Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony. [Source: Encyclopedia of Activism and Social Justice; Gage, Matilda Joslyn]
