accident proneness

Définition

  • A psychological theory that explains industrial accidents as a consequence of individual predisposition to cut corners and take risks at work. It overlooks the fact that workers have very little control over the rate and speed of their work, nor over the control of safety features, such as machinery guards or other safe work conditions.
