Définition
- Although the U.S. Supreme Court has yet to issue an opinion on the subject, there is reason to believe that the Court is likely to require governments to get warrants in order to obtain current or stored email communications, at least with reference to personal email accounts. Email communications seem to fall somewhere between traditional phone conversations and sealed letters, both of which are generally protected by warrant requirements.
