- Place promotion is the development of advertisements for the purpose of attracting investment, tourism, and economic growth. These efforts can take on many forms and today are practiced by multiple actors, including but not limited to governments, chambers of commerce, tourism and convention bureaus, and economic development corporations and agencies.
