Définition
- People Power was the 1986 mass uprising that overthrew the dictatorship of Ferdinand Marcos in the Philippines. Also known as the EDSA revolution (for Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue, the thoroughfare in which the main showdown took place), it ended 14 years of Marcos's absolute rule and installed Corazon “Cory” Aquino to the presidency.
