geometric correction
Définition
- Geometric correction is the preprocessing method of removing positional distortions in remotely sensed data caused by the movement of the sensor. Unrectified images contain distortions in their planimetric (x, y) map locations due to variations in sensor parameters (altitude, attitude, and velocity), in the Earth's curvature, and in remote sensing systems.
