Définition
- Western philosophy standardly defines epistemology as reflection upon the nature, goals, norms, concepts, and scope of evidence, justification, and knowledge per se and as evaluation of human cognitive activities from the standpoint of these norms and goals. Ethno-epistemology seeks a scientific understanding of epistemological reflection and evaluation. [Source: Encyclopedia of Philosophy and the Social Sciences; Ethno-Epistemology]
