pool halls
Définition
- Pool halls were mainly male haunts during the 1800s and into the early 1900s. Since pool halls in most cities were physically linked to bars or saloons and sold alcohol, they were a singular symbolic target of anti-alcohol crusaders. [Source: Encyclopedia of Street Crime in America; Pool Halls]
