Définition
- The way people self-assess their health can have a significant influence on their health behaviors and health outcomes. In the research literature, the most frequent method by which people have demonstrated their self-rated health is through the simple question, “How do you rate your health?” The responses from the Duke University (Piedmont Health Survey) Established Populations for Epidemiologic Studies of the Elderly (EPESE) sample of community-dwelling elders were as follows: excellent (15%), good (39%), fair (32%), and poor (14%).
