population control
Définition
- Population control is the control and management of demographic processes having to do with fertility, mortality, and migration for the sake of achieving non-demographic objectives relating to culture, politics, and/or the economy. The subject requires a gender lens particularly with regard to fertility, as women are the ones who become pregnant and give birth. [Source: Encyclopedia of Gender and Society; Population Control]
