Définition

  • Milliken v. Bradley (1974) is one of the most significant school desegregation cases decided by the U.S. Supreme Court since its landmark ruling in Brown v. Board of Education, Topeka, Kansas (1954), which outlawed legal segregation in public education. The case involved a challenge to a court-ordered desegregation plan in Detroit, Michigan, that included the outlying suburban school districts as part of the remedy.
